In our previous two articles, we discussed how we need to treat our online customers the same way that we would offline customers. We mentioned how important relationships with them are and how we could build rapport with them through the sharing of our personal lives. We then discussed that we should make ourselves accessible by providing contact information on our blogs and websites.

The long term goal that we Internet marketers should have is to create a strong and deep online brand for our online business. If you have been exposed to marketing at all over the last 5 years or so then you have undoubtedly heard all about branding and how to apply it to your business. We have all heard about the painstaking process of getting our blogs and websites deeply established on the Internet. We have all heard about how important it is to build a huge social marketing presence online. But do we really understand what effective branding can do for us? Let’s take a closer look.

In our previous article, we stressed the importance of emotions in the selling process. We emphasized that customers actually buy on emotions and use logic to justify their decision to buy your product or service. Thus, whenever we craft our sales letters, we need to experience the same emotions that our potential customers would experience from not having our product or service. Finally, we need to fully describe the gap between those having our products and those who do not. Now let’s move on to the next of creating winning sales letters.

One of the biggest challenges for Internet marketers is to persuade customers to make a purchase. Let’s face it, some of us can write great sales copy and some of us are not as good. One thing’s for sure, we can all improve their skills at writing sales letters. In order to do this, we have to develop a straightforward approach that gives us consistent results that are favorable.
